They say your home is your castle, but for lovers of interior design and the fine arts, your home feels more like a canvas. Whether it’s the prints on your walls, the antique furniture in your living room, or the objet d’art displayed on your shelves, your home is a representation of your personality and passions. It’s filled with pieces that move you, that remind you of a special place, or someone close to you. For those who use their home to surround themselves with the exquisite and meaningful, The Ode To has created a finely-curated collection of handmade pieces from emerging artists around the world.

The Ode To celebrates artistry in a unique way by finding a path to connect burgeoning artists with global collectors, whether they already have a large collection or are looking for that first special piece. Founded 2018 by friends Helena Carlberg and Anna Lukins, the company does the hunting for you—sometimes on Instagram, sometimes in person— to curate a collection of exceptional, unexpected pieces that are an accomplishment in craftsmanship and creative expression.

This season, decorate your bookshelves with the soft, organic shapes of Paula Atelier’s Air series, where the artist uses her sculpture to create the physical visualization of air. For an unexpected treasure, recent graduate Josefin Zachrisson’s Trash collection plays with contexts and how they affect how ordinary objects and materials are perceived. As such, her vases are cast in a regular trash bag and gradually formed as the material solidifies. For those unsure of where to start their collection, a recurring favorite is Tove Tengå’s ceramic sculpture The Knot,

a representation of the impossible-to-untie Gordian knot, which symbolizes her unbreakable family ties.

From textiles to sculptures, The Ode To proves that art collecting doesn’t need to be stressful, high-brow or even expensive. Each piece is individually commissioned for The Ode To and made specifically for their online gallery. Everything is handmade so no two pieces are exactly alike, making it easy to fill your home with beautiful, one-of-a-kind art. A variety of abstract nude sculptures, dreamy watercolors and marble vases allow collectors to find what speaks to them, adding to the unique beauty and personality that makes a house a home.
