Crosby Studios, an architecture, interior and furniture design studio based in New York and Moscow, is the success story of the Russian architect and designer Harry Nuriev. Establishing the studio in 2014, he found inspiration for the name of his passion project in the heart of the Big Apple. “I named my studio Crosby Studios because I love Crosby Street,” he says. “I was walking on Crosby one day and thought it sounded sexy.” After their first collection of works, Collection I, the studio was catapulted into the design world, making a name for itself with bold and colorful projects all over the world.
Always trying to incorporate his heritage into the projects, the Russian native is inspired by his own memories and culture, but also the unique heritage of his clients, as well. His strong relation with color makes for unique and bright designs where he blends pastels, Bauhaus, and the famed Scandinavian simplicity into refined minimalism.
With his strong sense of color and art direction, Harry wants to show his design language to the world. From bright pink to electric blue and even gold, nothing’s too bold or too risky for this color guru. The Crosby Studios object and furniture collections, as well as the interior designs, all speak this same rare, playful, colorful and above all fascinating language.
